On Board Unit, route ticket or e-vignette bookable via DKV ordering platform
Bulgaria has introduced a new satellite-based toll system for motorways and national roads at March 1. All vehicles are subject to tolls in Bulgaria. As of now, customers of DKV Euro Service can conveniently book the toll operator’s On-Board Unit and Route Pass via the DKV ordering platform.
The On Board Unit is primarily for frequent drivers with vehicles over 3.5 t gross vehicle weight. Here, transporters benefit from improved liquidity, since thanks to the postpay procedure they only have to settle the toll charges after the journey. Occasional drivers are recommended to purchase a Route Pass. Toll calculations vary depending on the number of kilometres driven, pollutant class, number of axles, vehicle weight, truck or bus and road category.
At a later date it will also be possible to book eVignettes for vehicles up to 3.5 t via the DKV registration portal.
