Excise Duty refund Belgium

In Belgium, the excise duty refund rate has been reduced again. Although the information was only reported to us at very short notice by the responsible tax authorities, hopefully will be of good use for you.

The refund rate as of 01.01.2023 is 6.04384 Ct. / l.

If you are an international transport company in the EU or a busses company transporting passengers, you can obtain the refund of the excise duty on diesel oil in Belgium.

Your trucks must have at least 7,5 tonnes weight and your busses must have at least 9 seats (excluding the driver’s).
