Here are some useful steps that must be taken immediately when your Affinity-DKV card has been stolen or lost.

Step 1 – Limit the card for misuse

The very first step for your card is to set individual limits on consumption figures. The card is automatically blocked as soon as these limits are reached.
Independently of this, DKV has a specialist misuse and prevention team continuously checking the plausibility of transaction data. Sometimes, when we see transactions that deviate from their usual fuelling structure we contact the client for clarifications. The misuse of the card can occur when the card is stolen, lost or because of employee fraud.

Step 2 – Block the card immediately

In case you see any of the transactions that are not yours, or that DKV card is lost/stolen, you can block the card trough your account on web page: DKV Mobility – You drive, we care. The partner for your fleet (dkv-mobility.com) following next instructions:

Step 3 – Report the theft to police

In the case of theft – the user should have the fuel card blocked immediately and report it at the nearest police station.
Caution is also called for if the vehicle shows signs of being broken into but the fuel card is still there. The card could have been copied or replaced with an earlier stolen card. Therefore the data on the card must be checked and, if necessary, the card blocked.

As a result, we have been able to reduce losses due to card theft and misuse to a minimum. We continue to work to enhance our card and authorisation technologies to further improve the situation in the future.
