HUNGARY: Buses can be activated on the DKV Box Europe starting 1 April

The introduction of new e-toll liabilities for buses was initially announced for February 2024 but postponed at the last minute to April.

The Hungarian Toll Charger NUSZ announces that, as of 01.04.2024, buses are also liable to pay the distance-based toll in Hungary.

Also, starting 1.04.2024, Hungary introduces two new tariffs for this vehicle category:

o            up to and equal to 5 tons (M2)

o            above 5 tons (M3)

• These categories are called M2 and M3 internally in the NUSZ system.
• The weight (F.1) will be relevant for registering buses and also mobile homes.
